Bizarre Bazaar
The June issues are out (hurrah!) and Bazaar is on a run - a pink colored, funky font run. I mentioned this last month, but apparently the latest budget-crunching trend of recycling the old as new applies to magazine covers too. From the color, to the font, to the over-the-shoulder pose, this issue is like the answer to an equation: what does March + April + May equal? June! Viva la Recessionista!

Oh my, I am so happy I can see your blog ~ For at least a week I have been unable to access your page without it freezing. I'm not sure why, but I'm so happy I can see it now :)
Boring......I am surprised. They should do better, recession or not. Change the font, at least!
This is getting funnier and funnier and stranger and stranger. LOL
Hmmm...I actually REALLY dislike the font Bazaar is using (and reusing). Tsk, tsk!
Averill-Spot on, I hate it too. They are trying to be cool and hip and missing by a mile.
Sarah - Soooo glad you're back! If you notice problems feel free to email me and I'll see if there's something I can do on my end to fix it.
Averill - I do too - it reminds me a bit of comic sans (the bane of all fonts).
Style Redux - isn't it? I mean, anyone could change this up in photoshop. At least change the color... net cost? Zero. I can understand (maybe) an effort to standardize the look, but this is so identical it's difficult to tell when a new issue is out. I wonder if they realize that.
Wow,
I think that sometimes people just run out of ideas.
I'm so glad you posted about this, its been bugging me! I can only assume that the cover sells well since, admittedly, it does catch your eye on the newsstand, but seriously? It's very "teenage girl binder art". What month will feature NSync on the cover?
