It's that most wonderful time of the year, when culture and consumerism combine and actually REQUIRE you to shop. Unfortunately it's also the most wonderful time of the year for travel, parties, galas, fetes, performances, happy hours, family reunions, and every other event imaginable, which doesn't leave much time for getting gifts. That's why I never miss the Junior League of Washington's Holiday Shops, held this year at The Sphinx Club in downtown D.C. (unabashed disclaimer: I'm a member of JLW). The Shops host nearly 40 merchants from across the country (list HERE), and the items on sale include jewelry, home decor, handbags and accessories, gourmet foods, gentleman's goods, holidays decorations, and children's toys - in other words, something for everyone. It's a great place to knock our your entire holiday shopping list in one afternoon!
