That letter is hilarious! But I loved it, and I LOVED the photos. I am hooked, now, because of you!

Totally agree. However, I have to say, I tried some of this stuff on. Same old fit...boxy, shapeless, somehow short. They need real people to try this stuff on...or the jcrew fit models. Something is off. And believe me, I like it and have tried (and posted about it, I swear!) but I just couldn't fork over the cash...not even for the clearance stuff. Very pretty to look at indeed...

Hilarious!! Couldn't agree more. I'll have to check "Ann" out again. I stopped shopping there about 10 years ago!

AnnTaylorStyle tweeted this today. (That is their official store too - great job!)
You are SO right!(and I tweeted this to them too). I used to drop a lot of money in their stores because I loved everything and then everything changed so I stopped shopping there. Suddenly everything changed. I have already ordered 1 dress from the loft, sent an email looking for a dress at Ann Taylor and I have my eye on another dress on their site (it is a little short I noticed - one criticism for the lost - some of their dresses have gotten too short) Overall I Love the changes.

you're too funny! I haven't checked their shop in a long time, just may have to with these gorgeous images! oh & thanks for the comment about the sea life pillows...aren't they adorable?

Your letter made me laugh! How true. But what a comeback they've made. Too bad I'll have to wait until my next trip to the USA. Love that toile inspired sleeveless dress.

Amen! Ann Taylor (and Ann Taylor Loft) is back and better than it's been in years stylewise, though I agree with Marija that it runs annoyingly short and boxy. Now if someone could just kick Banana Republic into gear.

Thanks for the comments everyone!
Charlotte - thanks for the heads up on the ATS tweet - that's so cool! And very much for tweeting it yourself.
Averill - 100% agree! BR needs to kick it up a notch.

I can hardly breath for laughing so hard! Skyla, you are priceless!

I walked by Ann Taylor on Monday, and loved a few pieces featured in the window display...haha, still laughing » twitter comment by Ann Taylor » your blog...made my feverish day so much more pleasant :)

Funny post! I agree with the BR comments. Before I would dabble in both AT & BR for work, and now Ann almost always wins out. Although they still need to work on some of the fit and the materials, I've been loving the new Ann so far!

Great letter!

Ann Taylor has a shop close to home. Yep, I kept shopping for "office attire". I noticed in the fall a renewed look however, it is without linings on a lot of it and some things while stylish are missing quality for the price.

I did manage to do quite well on the sale rack recently.

I so agree!!!! Stopped in there last week and was shocked!

That's fabulous! Hilarious letter, but seriously, I felt the same way about Ann, had totally written her off. Guess I need to re-check her out!

hysterical! I recently visited their site after asking a friend where she had gotten her fabulous sun dress, and I was suprised by the change. The last time I was at Ann Taylor it looked like they were designing for a funeral home or psychiatric center--more color, more patter--its all good. Fantastic piece! Can't wait for the next post(I'm now following you) Stop by when you have a chance--I'm hosting a give away!

I love this post I think you should actually send this letter to Ann Taylor marketing team. It is perfect!! I am dying for those sandles. I like Ann Taylor but you are absolutely right in your observation. Love what I see on this post , though, thanks for the heads-up!! Kathysue
