So here's what I know about Dallas:
Also, this:
And this:
Ta da! And I learned all that while living in Ireland (Dallas and Jack Daniels are two wildly popular American imports there). So I obviously have a lot to learn... which is why I'm asking all my Texas (or Texas-traveled) bloggy friends for stylish advice before my next trip!
I'm already excited to check out the crazy home decor finds at Buchanan Flea Markets...
Where would YOU go in the great Oil Capital?

Don't know Texas, but I hope that you have a nice trip. Be safe.

Got a pen?...
The Whimsey Shoppe on Knox and Henderson(on the Henderson side) is a world wide known antique shop with fabulous finds from Europe. The neighborhood has some other good stuff as well.
Hungry? Try Paciugo on Lovers Lane.(The original location) and get the salted caramel gelato....it is almost better than Berthillon in Paris!
Definitely "the Mews" on Market Square Blvd...old large warehouse of eclectic antiques-high end.
Enjoy!!!
Darn, I have never been to Dallas but would love to go sometime! Safe travels!!
I'm not much help on the home decor front, but you'll find a lot of good bars and shops along Knox-Henderson and Uptown along McKinney Avenue. Hope you enjoy the Big D!
Having only visited Texas and a long, long time ago Dallas Alley was amusing.
Hmm, I have no idea! I cannot wait to hear about your trip though. Have a wonderful time, Skyla!

Dallas has great shopping and food...
Shopping: Highland Park Village, Forty Five Ten (also has a great restaurant, the T-Room), Stanley Korshak, downtown Neiman Marcus.
Restaurants: Javiers, Eddie V's, Al Biernats, Mi Cocina. The Mansion is amazing but a little pricey.
Hope you have a great trip!!
My knowledge of Dallas is like yours so I'm afraid I can't be of much help but I can wish you good luck and tell you to have fun and a great trip!
I was in Houston and I LOVED it. Great state.
I can't wait to hear all about your adventures!
Have a blast!
xx
Now I'm singing the theme song to Dallas in my head. I promise you that all those images are just the stereotype.
I agree w/ shopping along Knox/Henderson(streets) as well as all of the places my friend, Kelly, mentioned. Definately hit up Highland Park for shopping and Javiers for a true TX dining experience (it's bustling on Friday & Saturday - fun nights to go & the dish to get is the Filete Cantinflas...I crave it). If I think of anything else, I'll come back and tell you. HAVE FUN!!!
