I think it cuts the sweetness and adds style to spaces.
BTW, I love the abstract B&W art piece in your apartment.
I like black and white contrasts especially in the living area of the house. Haven't tried it in the garden though LOL.

and black CAN make a small space work. I love black with everything - inside, outside and especially fashion. In Melbourne we are always wearing black!
