Couture Italian Leather: Valextra

Valextra is often known as the "Hermès of Italy," and their fine craftsmanship has earned them the title. Valextra makes very subtle, minimalist designs - your grandmother could have carried them, and your granddaughter likely will too. No logos, no labels, just classic creations. Could you spot one on the street?

Gorgeous. I am a fan.

I am not jumping on the Valextra bandwagon. This anti-it bag with no logos is now the "it" bag since being spotted on Katie Holmes, Victoria Beckham, and David Beckham. For $2000-$3000, these don't do it for me. Too masculine and minimalist. But I am a logo bag girl. My go-to bags are Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs.

I agree with Beth -- these are way too expensive given their simplicity. I'm definitely not a fan of too many bells & whistles on a bag, but one or two well-thought, special details are essential.

lol - Beth, I am not one bit surprised!!! :)
I like these because they're so minimal - keep people guessing!

Funny that you're getting
anti Valextra comments from the girls who need their logos.
I really love the simplicity of the
NO Logo .. . . and I must note -
I've a closet full of LV luggage and Chanel handbags, which I now rarely use, because I feel they're just too pretentious.
To each his own ... . there's certainly a time and place for it all.

I like them a lot! Particularly for a briefcase, which I love to look minimal with my sleek MAC, and for desk accessories. I'm a huge fan of Chloe for everyday bags, but I love the simplicity and well-tailored look of these also :)

HOW!???! HOW DID I NOT KNOW?? I pride myself on knowing these sorts of things!!!! Thank Goodness for Sanity Fair teaching me the "important" brands, especially before my next trip to Italy! I'm off to Amalfi Coast in 1 week and 1 day (and counting) for the August vacance and can't wait for a few weeks in the sun, and now, thanks to your great tip seeking out Valextra bags, etc to educate my eye!! Alas, no funds to purchase a new bag... but a girl can look!

Just a note to say how much I have enjoyed escaping into your very aesthetic blog.

I like that the style is about the bag & not the logo. Don't get me wrong, I love logo bags too. I would love to own the beige bag!
