Beauty Born of Hard Times

Special note: In May of 2009, Mrs. John L. Strong closed. Thus linked photos below unfortunately no longer work. To read more about the closing of Mrs. John L. Strong, click here.

In 1929, Flora Strong had an idea to sell fine stationary out of her sister's trousseau shop on Fifth Avenue. Her papers were marketed under her married name, Mrs. John L. Strong, and sales soon exceeded the capacity of the bridal store and gained an international clientele. The brand carries as much cache today as ever, boasting 100% cotton sheets and an array of beautifully creative (and beautifully created) designs. A few favorites below. Who do you need to thank today?

P.S. Mrs. John L. Strong is having a sale!!! Click on post title to go straight to it.
