A few inspiring ideas...

Gingham! Everywhere!

Stick to just two colors, in a festive paisley.

A simple statement with carnation balls, a few stars, and sky blue accents make a very feminine Fourth.
Or really think outside the box - Asian inspiration!

Great ideas! I LOVE the carnation balls. Not always my favorite flower either, but I adore carnation balls.

Hi!

Love the red, white, and blue Asian table setting and the carnation balls. Although I have always been a no carnation person, if you use one color and mass them, they are elegant and budget friendly.
natch, i dig the chinoiserie table, but what i liked best about these settings was the fact that hideous, wasteful plastic utensils were chucked in favor of real silverware. one thing i hate about summer soirees is the ubiquity of such tasteless disposable products when one throws a little party at her own home!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and taking time to comment. It's so nice to find a fellow wanderer! Thanks also for your advice about the mags - I wish someone had told me a bit earlier. :( Both of these tables are really inspiring. The Asian one really is thinking outside the box. And it works! See you soon!
These are fabulous! Now I want to try to create the carnation balls featured. Carnations never looked so pretty!
